PCI Express Performance Meter |
 |
 |
Based on long years of experience with high speed data transfers we developed together with the University of Karlsruhe the PCIe Performance Meter.
The PPM is mainly developed to measure on an Hpe_IRP2 platform the transfer performance between FPGA and the processors.
The data logger is still an IP and can be used in every FPGA, at the moment we support Altera FPGA's.
Gives a true picture of the load of every PCIe lane
Can log up to 4 lanes
Time tick for measurement 1 ms
Data logging up to 100 hours
Data logs (per time tick) for :
- No. of Transaction Layer Packets
- Amount of Payload
- Amount of Header and Payload
- Min. and Max. Payload
- Software position number
- Current of CPU, FPGA IO, FPGA core, Transceiver
Easy analysis of overloads during long program runs.

1. Overview Window, shows the complete session
2. Data window: Shows a selected part, marked by the blue marker in the overview window
3. Data of one time slot, marked by the green marker in the data window
4. Display selector, up to 7 different curves can be programmed
